Week 6 Journal Entries This week we had to the oldest person I know

The oldest person I know is my great great grand Father. He is 79 years old. He cant walk but he is super smart. He is very good at chess. He comes to my house on Fridays. My grand mother likes visting my great great grand Father at the Nursing Home. My great great grand is small. He's not strong but he is very smart. He likes vising with us on Fridays.

The oldst person i know is my great grandmother.
She is ninety nine years of age. She turned ninety nine this year in January. She doesn't live in a house but she lives in a nursing home and gets looked after by my mum who works at the nursing home.
My greatgrandma isin't that strong but she is tall. She has brown eyes and white hair.
She has two children my grandpa and grandma.
We don't visit her very often because she's always busy having lunch or sleeping so we see her every second week.

The oldest person I know is Mary. She is 90 years old. Mary lives in a nursing home. She has a lovely room in the nursing home. I know what it looks like because I've been there, it's beautiful. She has a lovely balcony and a lovely veiw. Mary has white hair. She walks very slowly and uses something to help her walk I don't what you call it. She is not very tall or very short.

The oldest person I know is my dad"s dad mum. I have to call her Big Yaya She is 96 and she has white hair. She has something like a whel chair and she uses it to get around.
She is in a nursing home and she looks well for her age. She shares a room with another lady. It is a very big room. She went to the hospital because she fell overand broke some ribs. Then she went to the nursing home and she mostly sleeps. Yaya  can't walk properly and she can't play. My dad's mum and dad take her clothes and wash them.
They are going to fix the house and rent it to pay the nusrsing home rent. My family goes up there very ofen she has trouble breathing.

Week 5 Term 2 Our thoughts on NAPLAN 2012

I thought Naplan was not too bad but I did think some questions were a bit harder than I would have excpected. I hoped I did well and got high results. I did think Naplan  was good for alot of other reasons. One of them was that it helps us for a lot of years in high school.

I thought Naplan was very hard work because it gave us only 45min or 50 minutes.The first Naplan test we did I finished in 25 minutes when we had 50minutes.Naplan was very hard hard work but I finishd all of the work. I thought that it would be very hard for me but it was a little bit easier than Ithought.

Week 4 by Chen and Michael

This week our class has been doing NAPLAN.
 NAPLAN is a big test with lots of questions.
It stands for National Asessment Program Literacy and Numeracy.
There is a reading, numeracy, writing and language test.
It makes a record of how clever you are.
NAPLAN test results will be given back later this year.

Week 3 Journal entries

I like the season of  autumn because it is not too hot and not too cold. In North America the people call Autumn, Fall because it's the season when all the leaves fall down.

I like the season of  autumn because it is my birthday and I get lots of presents. I also like Autumn because the colour of the leaves are pretty. I like the colour red. There are also not many flowers growing so it's for my allergies. It is also getting cooler so it's not that hot. I love Autumn.

Week 2 Journal Entries

Please read these thoughts as they are very interesting.

When I grow up I would like to be doctor. I would like to be a doctor because they help lots of sick people .They also have to go to learn for eight years, so it is hard for them to get their job that easily They can make people a lot better. That is why I would like to be a doctor.

When I grow up I would like to be an astronomy scientist because if Earth is gone, then the astronomy scientist will find a better place than Earth. Another reason I want to be a astronomy scientist when I grow up is that  I might design rockets with a rocket scientist because I think designing rockets might be make me feel clever.

When I grow up I would like to be a baker  because they do lots of interesting things . The most interesting thing is  they use a pallet knife to make the icing smooth for cupcakes and cakes (it’s not sharp).They use special tubes cake icing to write happy birthday or other celebrations. You can make excellent desserts if you are a baker.

When I grow up I would like to be a radio station worker. I would like to become a radio station worker because I would be able to meet famous people.

Another reason why I'd want to be a radio station worker is because I could make a lot of friends at the radio station, because a lot of people work there.

I would want to become a radio station worker because I could work on two things, which are FM and AM. Fm is listening to people singing and AM is listening to some people talking about different things.

When I grow up I would like to be a miner because  I could find diamonds, rubies,crystals and gold.You have to be careful because there can be lava pools an holes. The caves can be blocked and you cannot breathe properly and perhaps die. The best thing about being a miner is you can sell gold, diamonds, rubies and you can be rich.

When I grow up I would like to be  an AFL player because sport is one of my favourite activities and also you get lots of fans supporting you. It's really a fun game and at the end of the season you will get a medal or a trophy.

Welcome back to Term 2 2012.
This term we are studying Our Fleeting Past- the story of early Australia. We have lots of exciting things planned including an excursion on Sydney Harbour!
